Been away with Les Gals, Margaret and Kat, drawing in the mountains above Les Angles. Here am I, doing the Sound of Music. Thanks Kat :)
Its weird up there - its a ski resort but in the absence of snow becomes under peopled and open spaced, very nice. Little cafes and restaurants abound and the folk are very happy to see holiday makers. Recommended if you feel the urge to leave Esperaza for a short while - its a 2 hour drive on the D118, a beautiful drive through forests and gorges and little villages -
Here we are after a hard days drawing - it was HOT - and below is our own River Aude, close to its source.
Got back in time for Johns' farewell meal at the Creperie - hes off today - Bob off tomorrow.
And todays its raining!!! Not a lot, just spotting, but such a relief after this lengthy heat-wave.
