All our fair-weather friends have flown - Bob leaves today - leaving the hard core francophiles to heat their homes and 'cocoon'.

Still, there is no end to the excitement. The 8 a 8 - our local store and the social hub of the village - is re-opening today after five days of renovations. Off to check it out shortly.

Weather cold, moon full, rabbits outraged by the changes. They are either grumpy or running about trying to keep warm.
